THE BIG DAY ~ Pete & Susan Olson

Finally! photos posted from the B-E-A-utiful wedding I shot last month. Susan and Pete were electric that day, and as you can see they are a seriously cute couple and have no reservations about showing their love for one another. A big thank you to both of them for the opportunity to shoot their big day! Also a big thank you to my sister who assisted me during this shoot! She is awesome and her pictures are amazing. Having the both of us there allowed each of us to be in different places at different times and focus on different things. The soundtrack to my youth

Some of you might lift a brow at my choice in tunes. Not because they're bad - because they are the opposite of that...! But because I'm kinda old school. I actually really enjoy MOST genres. Depending on the mood I could chill to jazz, get pumped with some hip hop, clean house to some coffee shop tunes, nod my head to some rock and roll. or plug away at work to some oldies. Whatever your fancy, I'm sure you'd agree that music just makes it better (insert whatever you want into "it.")

For most of us crazy Alaskans July means fishing.

Sometimes it's good to just kick back and take a break. We live in such a go-go-go world that if we aren't always doing something, we feel like we should be. I think living in Alaska, it's easy to feel this way - especially in the summer because they are so short we try to pack as much into the sunshine (or should I say sunlight) as possible.

 Kate & Owen are quite the awesome couple. It was easy to freeze some super special moments during this shoot because there were so many of them! I did these photos for them last fall but now can showcase them a little bit on here. :) I believe their wedding is coming up this month, so I wish them the very best in life and love!
